Research Talk: Food Security in Indonesia-Malaysia: The Comparison(06/03/2023) International Office of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Trengganu and Faculty of Agriculture and technology presented Reseacrh Talk program with theme: “Food Security in Indonesia-Malaysia: The Comparison”. Food security speaks to the availability of food in a country and the ability of individuals within that country to access, afford, and source adequate foodstuffs. The speakers were Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Abdul Latip from Universiti Malaysia Trengganu explained about “Food Security Policy in Malaysia: Issues and Way Forward” and Dr. Sakinah Haryati, SPi., MSi presented about “Produk Tradisional berbasis Ikan Indonesia sebagai Kearifan Lokal Khas Banten”. Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Abdul Latip explained in his presentation about food security and availability as the new resources of food for steadiness of food supply and demand. Dr. Sakinah Haryati, SPi., MSi stated that the potential of Banten province to produce alterative food with milkfish as the main ingredient. The event held online via zoom with 155 participants. They were from students and lecturer of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.

27/02/2023 International Office of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa held a meeting with USAID and LPDP for the scholarship for PPG Lecturer. The head of BPPT, Anton Rahmadi, S.TP., M.Sc., Ph.D. with Chief of Party TEMAN LPDP, Mira Sambada had meeting with Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Fatah Sulaiman, S.T., M.T., Rector of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa and Vice Rector 1, Dr. H. Agus Sjafari, S.Sos., M.Si., with Dr. Udi Samanhudi, the head of International Office along with head of PPG department and secretary department of Early Education department.Anton Rahmadi, S.TP., M.Sc., Ph.D. explained about the pathway scholarship program with America as the destination. the program deration is 4 years. TEMAN LPDP, Mira Sambada also stated that this program funded by the TEMAN LPDP. Rector of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Fatah Sulaiman, S.T., M.T., said that this program is in line with the UNTIRTA’s value that advance towards the international world and synergies with knowledge and technologies development.

(23/02/2023) The online zoom meeting held with our IO-Corner series, the topic is “Scholarships Interview Tips and How to Best Prepare for One” with M. Arif Rahman Hakim, M.Pd., Ph.D (Interviewer LPDP Scholarship 2022UIN Fatmawati Sukarno) as the speaker and Muktar (International Office Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa) as the moderator. The purpose of this program to encourage students to take LPDP Scholarships.M. Arif Rahman Hakim, M.Pd., Ph.D explained in his presentation that what things to keep in mind for students who wants to face an scholarship’s interview and things to do before an interview begin. The participants were from students and lecture of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. There were 30 participants participated in the zoom meeting online.

(8/02/2023) International Office of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in collaboration with Maastricht University, Netherlands held a Research Talk series with the topic “THE ANOMALY OF THE NON-RETROSPECTIVE PRINCIPLE IN THE CRIME OF GENOCIDE, IS IT AGAINST HUMAN RIGHTS?”. Dr. Agus Prihartono, PS. SH., MH., Dean of Law Faculty Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa gave the opening speech at the event. The speaker was Nurhidayatuloh (SHI., S.Pd., SH., LL.M., MH., MHI) from Maastricht University, Netherlands. The moderator is Ferry Fathurokhman, SH., MH., Ph.D from Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. The online participants were lecturer and students of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.

(10/02/2023) International Office of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in collaboration with Monash University Australia held an Offline Guest Lecture with topic: “Climate Change, Energy Security and Thriving Communities: Australia-Indonesia Renewable Futures”
The speakers were Prof. Ariel Liebman and Dr. Max Richter. They came to Untirta Campus Sindang Sari in Meeting Room 4th Floor Rectorate Building. Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Fatah Sulaiman, S.T., M.T., Rector of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa stated in an opening remarks about energy and food security in Banten Province.

Prof. Ariel Liebman gave a presentation about Climate Change, Energy Security and Thriving Communities: Australia-Indonesia. He explained that the conservation and preservation of energy also the environment must keep in balance to ensure the thriving of mankind’s civilization.
The participant were from Rector, Vice Rector, lecturer and students of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. 34 participants were participated in the event.

(24/01/2023) International Office of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa held a webinar with the theme “Sharing Session: The Scholarships Preparation and The Journey”. The Speakers were Alna Hanana, S.I.Kom, M.Sc. (Universitas Andalas,PhD student in Media Studies, School of Communication, Universiti Sains Malaysia) and Dr. (Cand). Yoma Hatima, S.Pd, M.Pd (Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Beasiswa Unggulan). The event was moderated by Mukhtar (International Office of Untirta). Alna Hanana, S.I.Kom, M.Sc. explained the scholarship preparation from the beginning of the process of applying for scholarships. The administration preparation such as submitting documents required English Test Score until the Interview part. Dr. (Cand). Yoma Hatima, S.Pd, M.Pd was giving tips and recommendations when writing an essay for the scholarship and then answering questions in the Interview process. The Webinar was held via zoom, The 24 participants were from students and lecturers from Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.
