Research Talk: Food Security in Indonesia-Malaysia: The Comparison(06/03/2023) International Office of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Trengganu and Faculty of Agriculture and technology presented Reseacrh Talk program with theme: “Food Security in Indonesia-Malaysia: The Comparison”. Food security speaks to the availability of food in a country and the ability of individuals within that country to access, afford, and source adequate foodstuffs. The speakers were Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Abdul Latip from Universiti Malaysia Trengganu explained about “Food Security Policy in Malaysia: Issues and Way Forward” and Dr. Sakinah Haryati, SPi., MSi presented about “Produk Tradisional berbasis Ikan Indonesia sebagai Kearifan Lokal Khas Banten”. Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Abdul Latip explained in his presentation about food security and availability as the new resources of food for steadiness of food supply and demand. Dr. Sakinah Haryati, SPi., MSi stated that the potential of Banten province to produce alterative food with milkfish as the main ingredient. The event held online via zoom with 155 participants. They were from students and lecturer of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa.
